about
I photograph weddings and portraits the way they actually happen: quietly, from close by, without a shot list to get through. Twelve years of it, most of them in the West Country, some of them a long way from it. You will barely notice me on the day, and you will recognise everyone in the photographs afterwards.

recent shoots
Four days from the last two summers, in the order I shot them. Every wedding gets its own gallery, delivered as full-size files you can print, keep and hand round without asking me first.

Questions
The six I am asked most.
How long until we see the photographs?
A preview set of around forty lands within a week, usually the Thursday after the wedding. The full gallery follows in four to six weeks, or two weeks for a portrait sitting. If the date falls in August I will tell you before you book whether that stretches.
How many photographs do we get?
Around 700 from a full day, 350 from a half day, 60 from a portrait sitting. Every one is edited. I do not deliver unculled files, and I do not hold anything back to sell you later.
Do we have to pose?
Twenty minutes of it, usually just after the ceremony, and a family group list we agree in advance so nobody spends an hour being rounded up. The rest of the day I stay out of the way.
What happens if you are ill?
I carry two bodies, two card slots and cover for illness. If I genuinely cannot make it, I have five photographers in the South West whose work sits alongside mine, and you would not pay the difference.
Do you travel?
Yes. Two hours from Bath is included in the fee. Beyond that I quote travel and a night nearby at cost, before you book, so there is nothing to discover on the invoice.
How do we hold a date?
Send the date through the form below. If it is free I will hold it for seven days while you decide, then a signed agreement and a 25% deposit book it properly.
